1. Who we are

This site is operated by L3 Officiating Group. We collect a small amount of personal data to run video-review functionality at basketball officiating clinics.

2. What we collect

  • Your email address (from sign-up or Google sign-in).
  • Your display name and profile photo (from Google sign-in, if used).
  • Clips, notes, tags, and other content you create in the Service.
  • Video recorded during clinics you attend (hosted on our YouTube channel).
  • Basic usage logs (sign-in times, IP address at sign-in) for security.

3. What we do with it

  • Show clips to authorized clinic members for training and review.
  • Let clinic administrators manage clinic rosters and permissions.
  • Send you clinic-related notifications only when you've opted in.
  • Investigate abuse or unauthorized access.

4. Nature of evaluations and rulings

Courtside IQ exists to support the professional development of basketball officials. The platform applies NCAA Men's and Women's Basketball rules as its underlying reference framework, but every evaluation, ranking, and verdict issued through Courtside IQ, including any designation of a play as correct, incorrect, or open for discussion, represents the professional opinion of clinicians associated with L3 Officiating Group. These opinions apply NCAA rules but are not statements, rulings, or interpretations of the NCAA itself.

Any user viewing content on the platform should understand that scores, comments, and evaluations reflect L3 clinicians' judgment rather than NCAA authority. For official rule interpretations intended for game use, please consult the current NCAA rulebook or contact an NCAA authorized representative.

5. No biometric processing

We do not run face recognition, voice recognition, or any other biometric identification against your video. If a third-party feature ever offered this, it would remain disabled unless we notify you separately and obtain explicit consent.

6. Data location and providers

We host data with Supabase (Postgres database) and Vercel (site hosting), both operating in the United States. Video is hosted on YouTube (Google LLC). We do not transfer your data outside the United States.

7. Retention

Full-game videos on YouTube may be retained indefinitely at L3 Officiating Group's discretion or deleted after a clinic season ends. Clips and their metadata are retained while you have an active account. On request, we will delete your personal profile and clips you personally marked within 30 days.

8. Your rights

You can:

  • Ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Delete your account and personal data.
  • Withdraw video-recording consent for future clinics.

Email L3 Officiating Group to exercise any of these rights.

9. Minors

The Service is intended for users 13 and older. If a clinic includes attendees under 13, we require parental consent before their footage is stored. Contact L3 Officiating Group if you believe a minor's data was collected without proper consent and we will delete it.

10. Cookies

We only use functional cookies required to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

11. Changes

We'll notify you in-app of material changes to this policy. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
